About

Dorney ParkDavid E. Hohenshilt started a small welding company in March 1971 and originally it was operated as one of the Lehigh Valley areas first mobile welding services. Later the business evolved into a steel fabricating and erecting company. Then subsequently a corporation known as Dave Hohenshilt Welding, Inc. was formed.

In 1990, the business purchased its first mobile hydraulic truck crane to accommodate the growing steel erecting demand in the Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and surrounding Lehigh Valley area. The crane was a 15 ton JLG crane purchased to do a steel erecting job. After that job was completed, we noticed the trend was for businesses to rent the cranes they used for completing their jobs; hence, the next logical step was for us to rent our crane to them.

As the business grew, we purchased a second crane to meet the needs of our customers and so on. In 1997, David E. Hohenshilt, Inc. was created, as the crane rental business was growing.

In keeping up with the growing economy and the increasing demand for crane service in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, Hohenshilt Crane has built its reputation as a reliable and “No Nonsense” crane service, offering a diversified fleet of cranes ranging from 30 to 75 ton machines equipped with highly experienced NCCCO operators who “know their equipment”. Our “No Nonsense” crane service philosophy is the foundation for our business, dispatching the right crane to meet the customers’ job requirements, thus allowing us to save the customer both time and money so they can do the job right the first time.
